The X-Mods Championship Series II, sponsored by Harlequin Racing is a fun RC Race series for all age groups, and all driving abilities! Read on to find out more....

What are X-Mods?

X-Mods are fully digitally proportional mini RC Cars that can be customised for better looks and performance. The modifications allowed for this series will be limited, keeping costs down & performance levels the same for each racer. Can you beat our previous winners? Check out the videos below:

2006 Final Championship Standings.

Race Venue: Stanway Village Hall, Villa Rd, Colchester.

  • BOOKING IN FOR THE RACES CAN BE MADE BY TELEPHONE Contact Details OR ON THE XMODS SECTION OF THE C.M.C.C. WEBSITE. BOOKING IN CLOSES AT 6.30pm THE DAY BEFORE THE RACE.
  • The XMods Championship includes 8 points-meeting rounds, points will be awarded for your qualifying position and final position.
  • Your 5 best points scores count towards your overall championship score.
  • 5 rounds or more must be entered to qualify for the Championship.
  • Trophies will be awarded to the Top 10 scorers in the Championship, top three Juniors (Under 17) and top three Seniors (Over 40).
  • Track setup is from 7pm - 7.15pm, Practice is between 7.15pm - 7.30pm. Racing Starts: 7.40pm
  • £3.00 entry fee. Everyone has 3 Qualifying races & 1 final per meeting.
  • If possible could i ask every driver to please bring more than one pair of crystals to the meeting (pairs of crystal are available very cheaply from the Harlequin Racing shop). For anyone new to XMods racing, hand-out crystals are available.
X-Mods Tournament Rules
  • Genuine UK X-Mods Gen1 Chassis' & UK Upgrades only. No Non-Standard electronics, tyres or aluminium hop ups.
  • GP AAA rechargable Batteries only, Max 1000 Mah.
