E Final

Jack Dowrick sat on pole position for the E final, but it was car 2 Anthony Robinson who took the lead for the first 2 laps. Jack made it back up to 1st place and held on until lap 6 where Justin Hayes took over and held the lead to the flag to take the E final win with his best lap score of the day - 10 laps in 196.63, followed by Jack D, Dan Taylor and Anthony Robinson.

D Final

Lap 1 saw a hard charging Luke Hayes take the lead, only to be taken out of the race on lap 2 with a damaged XMod front end. This left car 5 Gary Robinson in the driving seat, putting in some good lap times and holding off pole sitter Red Rabbit until lap 5 when car 2 took the lead and pulled away, taking the D final win. Well done Red Rabbit! Gary Robinson came in second on 10 laps 189.26 and, after a troubled final Jason finished in third spot (managing to post the second fastest lap of the final)

C Final

The C final saw the top three finishers posting 12 lappers, with car 3 Toby Manser leading from start to finish. Second place went to Bradley Page form 5th on the grid. Pole sitter Sean Dowrick showed good pace towards the end of the race posting the quickest lap of the race - 13.19. The ever-improving Josh Martin took home forth place with Evan Herbert placing 5th after his impressive qualifying display.

B Final

The B final was a real fire-cracker of a race. The initial pace was set by top senior Simon Woods, who held his nerve under constant pressure from Richard Ferrari for 10 laps with little more than 1 second seperating them. Meanwhile a couple of seconds back, Kevin Jackson and Stephen Panton were battling it out, ready to pounce on any mistakes by the lead 2. 3/4 distance into the race and there was still only 6 seconds seperating the entire field! Tim Routen had slipped back to last place after 4 laps, but slowly made his way up through the field and, after Richard got caught up in the infield found himself in second place, before slipping past Simon on lap 12 and taking the B final win. Well done to everyone in the race - great to watch. Kevin ended 3rd, Stephen 4th and Richard ending up 5th after holding 2nd place for most of the race.

A Final

With a great performance in qualifying Leon Martin had FTQ'd round 2 of the XMods Series - could he hold his nerve and form and convert this into an A final win? Time would tell.... Putting him under pressure was last seasons champ JBS in 2nd spot, the silky smooth Frenchman Franck Dambrine in 3rd, junior speedster Craig Woods in 4th and Mr Consistency Darren Keeble in 5th.

From the start Leon held his grid position, with Franck moving up into second & JBS right on his exhaust pipes in third. Unfortunately, Craig went out of the race on lap 2 with a mechanical failure (i'm sure he'll make a come back in the next round) Half way through race distance and it was pretty clear that no-one was going to catch Leon, as he eased away form all challengers and took the A final win with a 15 lapper in 188.42 (Quick!!) This left Franck and JBS battling it out for 2nd and 3rd overall - after a few bangs and small mistakes they came home 2 seconds apart, with Franck taking 2nd place and JBS 3rd. Darren rounded off a successfull day with 4th overall and a good score tally of 193.

A Final Result
